Abia Community Extols Monarch Over His Infrastructural Development

The people of Dim na Opara Autonomous Community, Ogbodiukwu, Umuopara in Umuahia South local government area of Abia State have extolled their traditional ruler, HRM Eze Engr Wisdom Ndubueze Ekueku for his untiring efforts in  elevating  the infrastructural developments of the community.
According to  one of Chiefs of the community, Ndubuisi Nwosu ,”Eze Wisdom Ekueku has been ruling his subjects with the fear of God, providing for them in time of need and want since the past18 years he became their traditional ruler, adding that the recent  installation and commissioning of solar street lights , grading of roads, as well as other palliative largess showered on the people are some of the glaring testimonies of the able ways he has been leading his people.
Chief Ndubuisi Nwosu who  disclosed this  during the 18th coronation anniversary,the 60th birthday ceremony  of their traditional ruler, further said that Eze Wisdom Ekueku has used his contacts and reach to attract developmental projects to their Community like the commissioned solar street lights, grading of roads,provision of palliatives among other numerous largesse showered on his good people of Dim na Opara.
It could be recalled that Eze Wisdom Ekueku,the traditional ruler of Dim na Opara has  on 31st December,2020
celebrated his 18th years anniversary on the throne, 60th birthday,commissioning of solar street lights, conferment of humanitarian 2020 awards/ chieftaincy titles as well as distribution of palliatives  held at Mbara Ogbodiukwu.
Speaking at the occasion, Eze Wisdom Ekueku,Ohazuru Mee 1 of Dim na Opara noted that those  conferred with humanitarian awards were the illustrious sons and daughters of the community as well as friends who contributed in no small measure in the provision of palliatives shared to the community during the lock down as well as their  financial assistance which helped in the installation of solar street lights scattered within the villages that make up Dim na Opara  just commissioned.
Eze Ekueku who is also the Chairman of Umuopara Council of traditional rulers added that it was in recognition of their humanitarian disposition  that the community deem it fit to reward them with award of excellence.
Among the award recipients includes: Sir Bob Uwaga, Maclious Chidozie Ohakak, Max Ndukwe Adindu, Mr Uzo Marcus, Mr Elias Mourene etc whereas Chief Barrister Eucharia Anyichie and Chief Kingsley Onwuka were also confered with chieftaincy titles of the community.
Speaking shortly after receiving the award, the State Coordinator of R& S Group of Companies, High Chief Uche Sunday however commended Eze Wisdom Ekueku and his Community for honouring their marketing manager, Mr Elias Mourene while describing the Royal father as a personal friend and their landlord.
High Chief Sunday who is the Ikenga 1 of Aro Okigbo of Arochukwu revealed that Eze Ekueku has the interest of his people at heart through developmental projects that is why the R&S is happy to associate herself with numerous projects the royal father is doing in his community.
Dignitaries who graced the occasion were: HRM Eze GC Onwuka, Towe 1 of Umutowe Autonomous Community and third deputy Chairman of Abia state Council of traditional rulers, HRM Eze Stephen Ihuoma, the Chairman, Umuahia South Council of  traditional rulers, HRH Eze Sir Dr Obioha Brown Uluocha, the traditional ruler of Chime na Ofeiyi Autonomous Community Ogbodiukwu and the Oparaukwu 1 Gburugburu, HRH Nelson Ohakak, the Secretary, Umuopara Council of traditional rulers, etc.
Highpoint of the occasion were cutting of the birthday cake, presentation of plaques to humanitarian awardees,decoration of chiefs, cultural displays among other side attractions.

Uche Nwosu is a two time Shell Petroleum PLC award winner in the year 2000;
He won the Shell Award on Investigative Journalism and Environmental Cleanliness.
