Eid El Fitri: Akobundu Salutes Muslims, Felicitates Abia Workers On Workers Day

As Muslims in Nigeria join their counterparts worldwide to celebrate the Eid El Fitri, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Abia Central Senatorial hopeful, Col Austin Akobundu rtd, has commended Muslims in the state for their steadfastness and resilience in concluding the Ramadan Fast.

In a release in Umuahia on Monday, Akobundu who is also the Dike Ako N’Mba of Ikwuano also congratulated Muslims in Abia Central Senatorial District for their unwaveringly commitment, awareness and achievement of the gains of the Ramadan, observing that their total commitment to the fasting throughout the period is a reflection to their obligation to their faith which emphasizes on sacrifice.

The Dike Ako N’Mba of Ikwuano believed that the period ushered in peace, hope, unity and understanding for the people of Abia Central whose collective destiny and interests he plans to enhance if elected as Senator of Federal Republic from the zone.

In same vein, astute politician has felicitated the Abia workers on this year’s International Workers Day celebration. In a statement in Umuahia, ebullient public servant assured workers in the state, particularly Abia Central of effective and quality representation if elected as Senator of the zone in 2023 by their grace and mandate.

 According to him, as an accomplished public servant, he believes in the upward review of salaries of workers, as well as the prompt payment of pensions and gratuities of public servants.

His word, “I join millions of Nigerians to celebrate the resilience, hard work, industry, productivity and patriotism of Nigerian worker, particularly those in the Abia Central Senatorial District”, adding that they are an embodiment of patriotism and nationalism in terms of giving their best for the growth of the economy and survival of the nation as well as the eradication of poverty in the country.
