In continuation of the consultation of the PDP Stakeholders and Delegates of the six Local Government Areas in Abia Central Senatorial District by the Col. Austin Akobundu Campaign Council, the leading Abia Central Senatorial aspirant for the district, Col. Austin Akobundu rtd, has urged the Stakeholders and Delegates in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area to vote massively for him during the forthcoming primaries in order to enjoy more effective representation.
Speaking separately at the Isiala Ngwa North PDP Secretariat in Okpuala Ngwa as well as at Ngwaukwu Community, the frontline PDP Senatorial Aspirant for the district stated that he came to present himself to the PDP Stakeholders and the Delegates in order to enable them make the best decision in electing them as the PDP candidate for the Senatorial poll in 2023.
He therefore called for their support and votes to enable him to get the party’s nomination during PDP primaries.
According to Col Akobundu rtd who is the immediate past National Organizing Secretary of PDP, he has served both the PDP and the nation meritoriously, describing himself as a an experienced and properly trained party man who rose through the ranks to become one of those that helped the PDP to win back some states in the country.
He told the people how he brought some painstaking reforms to the party when he was the National Organizing Secretary, stressing that the reforms contributed to the present growth of PDP across the federation.
Akobundu, who was also a former Minister of Defence (State) maintained that as an experienced politician, he possesses all that is needed to give his people quality representation, even as he pledged to serve them with the fear of God if elected Senator.
In his speech, the Director General of the Campaign Council, Pastor Emeka Inyama noted that the political trajectory of Col. Akobundu rtd presents him as a well known democrat and administrator and appealed to the Stakeholders and Delegates of Isiala Ngwa North to join hands in nominating him during the PDP primaries.
In their separate remarks, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Christopher Enweremadu and the PDP Chairman of Isiala Ngwa North, Elder Sam Esindu, assured the aspirant of their massive votes during the primaries, saying that delegates of Isiala Ngwa North will work assiduously in order to elect him as Senator.
