Breaking…APC Announces September 4, 2021 As Date For It’s LG Congresses

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee this evening named September 4, 2021 as the date for the party’s Local Government Area Congresses following approved guidelines of the “Conduct of LGA Congresses in line with Sections 156 of the Electoral Act and in parts I & II of the first schedule of the 1999 Constitution of Nigeria (as amended)”

A notice issued by John James Akpanudedehe, Secretary of the CECPC disclosed that the purchase of forms for LGA and State Congresses is scheduled August 18 to August 28, 2021, while the screening of aspirants for LGA party positions will be from August 31 to September 2, 2021.

According to the statement, LGA Congresses (including 3-Man delegates to National Convention) will hold September 4, while Appeals Arising from LGA Congresses will be from September 6 to September 11, 2021.

Meanwhile the party has pegged Nomination forms for the position of Local Government Chairman at N25,000; Local Government Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer cost N15,000. Other Offices cost N10, 000.

Female Aspirants and Physically Challenged Aspirants, according to the party, are to pay 50% of the prescribed fees for each position.
