Reports reaching our news desk indicate that the Yoruba activist and freedom fight, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho has been arrested by the security forces in Cotonou, the Republic of Benin while fleeing Nigeria to Germany.
Scanty reports coming from the Francophone country say he may have been captured by some Immigration officials of Republic of Benin in combination of its Security Forces and that they are presently preparing to hand him over to the Department of State Security (DSS).
The manhunt on him followed an arrest order given by the security agencies to apprehend him after the failed Lagos rally demanding a separate Republic for the Yorubas two weeks ago.
Another report said he was arrested while trying to move down to the Cotonou International Airport last night for onward movement to Germany.Uche Nwosu is a two time Shell Petroleum PLC award winner in the year 2000;
He won the Shell Award on Investigative Journalism and Environmental Cleanliness.
