Bandits in the early hours of today, Friday, attacked the Dansadau Community within Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State, killing at least three persons, while seven others were abducted.
A source in the community told Channels TV that the armed bandits attacked the community around 2:30am and laid siege on the community that lasted for about four hours.
They also set some armoured personnel carrier (APC) on fire.
The source also stated that an armoured personnel carrier belonging to the Nigerian military was also set ablaze by the bandits.
However, as at the time of filing this report, Zamfara State Police Command was yet to confirm the attack.
This is coming few days after bandits shot down an airplane belonging to the Nigerian Air Force, but the pilot was able to eject and escape before the plane crashed.
