Sequel to the successful committal of the remains of the late pioneer monarch of Amaokwe Achara Uturu Autonomous Community of Isuikwuato LGA of Abia State, HRM Eze Cyril Ibe to mother earth, the first son of the deceased and regent to the throne, Prof Gregory Ibe, has thanked those that made contacts with the family as well as those that graced the burial ceremony for identifying with the family during their trying period.
In his Thank You All statement he issued on Thursday, Prof Ibe, explained that his appreciation was based on the massive support the family received from all sections of the society before, during and after the event.
Part of the statement which was recently released to journalists reads: “On behalf of the Ibe royal family of Amaokwe Achara Uturu Autonomous Community in Isuikwuato LGA of Abia State, I hereby write to convey unquantifiable appreciation to all persons, friends, associates and groups who sacrificially rallied round us during our season of grief.
“Through telephone calls, text messages, condolence visits and other forms of voluntary support, you contributed in strengthening us, thereby making the herculean task of giving our late father and monarch a befitting burial surmountable”.
According to Prof Ibe, the family was particularly overwhelmed by the massive turnout at the many days of the burial ceremony, adding “I must confess that we were truly and thoroughly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and emotions as expressed by the tumultuous crowd that besieged the venues of the event throughout the weeklong event.
“Indeed your overture is an attestation to the quality life our late father impacted to humanity during his 100 years earthly tenure on this side of eternity”, he added.
He therefore offered prayers coveting God’s blessing on all and sundry and declared, “It is our prayers therefore that the good Lord continues to bless and replenish you all abundantly”.
