Kai Havertz of Chelsea FC was beautiful at the 43rd minutes of the UEFA European Football Championship held in Porto Northwest of Portugal on Saturday night as he made it behind Manchester City FC goalkeeper, Ederson shames David De Gea.
This midfielder, a German national, born 11 June 1999, gave Chelsea the trophy after nine years of waiting in the lurch. Chelsea last won the European most cherished trophy at the club level in 2012.
Chelsea coach, Thomas Tuchel, appointed in Jan 2021 said, “the boys played according instructions. They were in control and were in possession of the ball most of the time”.
A left backer, Ben Chilwell, born 21 December, 1996, and from England said after the match, “we worked so hard to achieve this good result and I’m happy that our hard work yielded good fruit”.
Tuchel is another successful manager of Chelsea after Frank Lampard was thrown out of the club in January 2021 after a dismal outing this season. Chelsea had their first manager, John Robertson in 1904.
