Renowned medical doctor in Umuahia, Abia State capital, Udorji Nnorom is dead.
Reports reaching our news desk said Dr Nnorom died today Sunday, September 12, 2021 at exactly 1:25am at the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Umuahia, where he was rushed to.
The deceased, who was a senior medical staff of the hospital, died of COVID-19 related illness, according to confirmed sources.
Scanty information concerning his death said he took ill Friday, September 9, 2021 and died barely 48 hours after he felt sick.
Our Reporter, who went to his residence located near the State Secretariat on Sunday, disclosed that the gate to the duplex was under lock and key as he (our Reporter) could not confirm whether his wife and children were inside the massive building as at the time of the visit.
However, a sister of his, who was contacted on phone, could not conceal her emotions as she broke down crying profusely on hearing the voice.
