Finidi George, the new coach of Enyimba International of Aba, has made a winning start to his career as the coach of the two African Champions and eight times Nigerian champions following Enyimba’s 1-0 win over Diambars of Senegal in a first round CAF Confederations Cup game decided in far away Saly, Senegal today, Saturday, October 16, 2021.
In a match that was keenly contested Enyimba netted the only goal of the match in the 87th minute through a well taking spot kick.
The result put the serial Nigerian champions in good stead to progress to the second round where they will meet those that drop from the champions League. Enyimba are two times winners of the CAF Champions League after they won the title in 2003 and 2004.
