Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu Birthday Bash: How The Monarch Celebrated Royalty In Grand Style

It was a combination of royalty and panache Wednesday night when the traditional ruler of Umudiawa Ancient Kingdom, Ohuhu in Umuahia North LGA of Abia State, HRH Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu celebrated his birthday in his palatial Palace at Umudiawa.

It was grand in style and in colour as many invitees enjoyed the serenity of the Palace with choice wine and spirit, served continually by dutiful aides and relations of the monarch. The wines and spirit, on hand to sooth the tastes and nerves of visitors, were in quantum.

Amongst the VIPs that attended the birthday party were Chief of Staff to the Governor, Prof ACB Agbazuere, the Commissioner for Finance, Dr Aham Uko and other Ohuhu and Umuahia indigenes who graced the occasion to pay respect to Eze Ofoegbu.

In his comment at the event, Agbazuere described the royal father as a hard working monarch and a friend of the state government; even as he called on other Nigerians to always give God the glory to attract His more of his blessings.

The Chairman of the Umuahia North Traditional Rulers Council, HRH Eze Ibezim Ukaegbu who spoke earlier, thanked God for giving Eze Ofoegbu another year with good health and assured that royal fathers in the state will always work together to ensure peace and harmony in the state and in their various domains.

In his royal speech, Eze Ofoegbu said he decided to celebrate his birthday in order to appreciate God for His numerous blessings and mercy to him and his family over the years.

 The occasion featured special prayers as a popular music entertainer, One man Show rendered beautiful rendition to the delight of the guests; even as the invitees were also made to savoured the event by an Umuahia-based broadcaster, I Go Yan Baba.Uche Nwosu is a two time Shell Petroleum PLC award winner in the year 2000;
He won the Shell Award on Investigative Journalism and Environmental Cleanliness.
