A renowned women leader and farmer in Dikenta, Ekenobizi Community of Umuopara Clan in Umuahia South LGA of Abia State, Mrs Christiana Bessey Nwosu (nee Ekechukwu) is dead.
Aged 96, late Mrs Nwosu, a business woman and philanthropist, will be buried in her son’s compound in Dikenta Ekenobizi on Friday, December 3, 2021 after a church service at the St Peter’s Anglican Church, Ekenobizi, Umuopara, Umuahia, Abia State.
A funeral programme released by her son and former Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barr Chikwerendu Simeon Lawrence Nwosu said the body of his late mum will be laid in state at his (Barr Nwosu’s) compound on arrival from the mortuary.
According to Barr CSL Nwosu, a service of songs will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 by 4pm at the same compound while interment will be done at the venue shortly after the funeral service.
Fondly called Daa Christiana or Daa Bessey, late Mrs Nwosu is survived by children, grand children and great grand children.
