Abia Big Boy, Randie Ukawoke, Lives Up To Expectations, Doles Out Gifts To Less Privileged

Abia big boy and philanthropist per excellence, Barr Randie Obinna Ukawoke received accolades from both the low and mighty in Abia State on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, When he doled out bags of beans, jerry cans of groundnut oil as well as books to indigent traders and diabetic patients from Umuahia South LGA of Abia State.

The book deals on better ways to handle diabetes disease.

It was indeed a full house where eminent personalities from all corners of the state attended with Governor Okezie Ikpeazu represented by his deputy, Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu expressing happiness over Randie’s continued assistance to the less privileged; stressing that Abia government will go into partnership with any individual or group that genuinely provides help aimed at eradicating poverty in the state.

The Senator, representing Abia Central Senatorial district, TA Orji described his philanthropic gesture and decision to assist in curing people with diabetes disease as outstanding, even as he asked other well to do Abia indigenes to follow the good examples of Ukawoke.

The Senator representing Abia South Senatorial district, Enyinnaya Abaribe challenged individuals who have being blessed by God to show appreciation by offering help to those who are less privileged.

The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mr Chris Ezem, noted that the philanthropist has been a worthy son of Umuahia South, adding that he has not relented in attending to the needs of his people.

Randie, the chief executive officer of Abia Hotels and Gardens, Umuahia and erstwhile Transition Chairman, Umuahia South Local Government Council, who used the event to celebrate his 61st birthday anniversary, thanked God for his benevolence towards him and his family this while.

The occasion, held under the aegis of Obinwanne Organizastion, is being sponsored annually to showcase his determination to attend to the health needs as well as other necessities of the people of Umuahia South.

Our Reporter stated that the colourful event was held at the Abia Hotels and Gardens and that it attracted eminent personalities from across the state which included former Secretary to the State Government, Barr CSL Nwosu and a legal luminary and former Commissioner in the state, Barr Henry Balogu.
