The Gregory University, Uturu (GUU), has commended the National University Commission (NUC) for giving full accreditation to Medicine and Surgery as well as four other major programmes in the university.
A statement from the university noted that GUU as a citadel of learning engages the services of the best lecturers in each given field to ensure that its students are the best in the world.
The statement reads, “Recently, NUC gave full Accreditation to Medicine and Surgery and four other major programmes in Gregory University Uturu, this is evidence that the institution and management are serious in improving the quality of education in Gregory University Uturu – Abia State, Nigeria.
“Worthy of note, is an academic lecture by the Medical and Dental Consultants Association of Nigeria (MDCAN), Federal Medical Centre Umuahia, a maiden edition of the Distinguished Medical Specialist Annual lecture, with title – ‘The Prime Unpredictable Pass: Preempting And Prioritising The Process Professionally And Proficiently’”.
According to the statement, the inaugural lecture was delivered by Dr Enyinnaya Nduka on the 19th of May, 2021.
It will be recalled that Dr. Enyinnaya Nduka, (MBBS, FWACS, FICS, CGCP – London) who is an Honorary Lecturer and Consultant in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Gregory University Uturu, Abia State – Nigeria, is a Fellow of West African College of Surgeons (FWACS).
He is also a Fellow of International College of Surgeons (FICS) and also holds a Certificate of Good Clinic Practice (CGCP) with University of London, among other qualifications.
The don, it further stated, has 26 years professional experience in medicine, 23 years of specialist experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has worked as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecology for over 17 years.
According to the statement,” others like him are part of Gregory University Uturu’s Medical College in Umuahia, as FMC Umuahia is in partnership with the Institution and Centre for the Medical Scholars of Gregory University Uturu’s Clinical Studies”.
