How Rev O Ezekiel Died: ‘Keep The Vision, Keep The Faith’, He Admonished CPM Leaders Before Giving Up The Ghost

Rev. Dr. Obiora Ezekiel, Founder and General Overseer of Christian Pentecostal Mission (CPM) who died on Friday, according to sources, had the vision of his death before now.

He reportedly gathered some elders and ministers of the Church and told them “the hour is here, keep the vision alive, keep the faith” He was aged 78.

The Coordinator of Imo State branch of the Church, Rev John Eze in announcing his death said, “our father, our mentor, our General, our Field Marshal, the man that saw the vision, the man that began the race, the man whose shoulder we’re all climbing, the founder and General Overseer of the Christian Pentecostal Mission International, Rev Dr  O Ezekiel has gone to be with the Lord few days ago”.

His demise was announced today, Sunday, November 21, 2021, by the Church during its Sunday Service and worshippers expressed grief over ailing Church leader and renowned man of God, who made waves in the 1980s and 1990s in Lagos and in all parts of the country.

The news of the demise of one of Nigeria’s foremost and beloved Pentecostal leaders has left members of the church and his other followers sober and bewildered.

A core Evangelist, Prophet and teacher of the Word, Rev Ezekiel was born 78 years ago in Awka Etiti, Idemili local government area of Anambra State. He came to Lagos in 1954 and later in the 1970s founded the CPM.

His” Powerless Power crusade”, accompanied with signs and wonders and laced with healing, deliverance and miracles was attracted many worshippers to the Church including Nollywood actors amongst was Andy who later married his only daughter.

Though the marriage did not last, it however, did not deter the icon and distinguished Christian leader, seen as the happiest pastor in West Africa who made more exploits in evangelism and spreading after the incident.
