Gov Ikpeazu Vows To Mobilise Gov Ugwuanyi, Leaders In Southeast To Enthrone Peace During Nov Anambra Gov’ship Poll

Abia State governor, Okezie Ikpeazu has assured of his readiness to mobilise his brother governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and leaders in the Southeast to ensure that peace is restored in Anambra State during November 6, 2021 governorship poll in the state.

In his speech during a strategy meeting of the Council he hosted in his Umuobiakwa in Obingwa LGA country home ahead of the Anambra governorship poll, the Abia governor also pledged to work with the Enugu State governor and leaders from the zone to secure victory for PDP at the election.

The Abia governor, who is the Chairman, PDP National Campaign Council for Anambra Governorship Election charged Anambra people to rise to the challenge of ensuring that PDP wins the forthcoming gubernatorial poll scheduled for Saturday November 6, 2021.

He argued that Anambra people have a duty to protect their votes, even as he urged them to lead the charge in recovering the state for the PDP. Ikpeazu further informed them that a win for the PDP in the Anambra election will symbolise a turning point in the country and the hope that a greater Nigeria under the PDP will resonate again.

He expressed disappointment that PDP had not won election into the Anambra Government House for a long time, saying that this has led to despondency among the people of Anambra State.

The story, he charged, has to change.

In his speech, the PDP Governorship Candidate in Anambra State, Mr Valentine Ozigbo thanked Governor Ikpeazu for his immense support and assured that PDP has all it takes to win the forthcoming election as it is on ground and intends to make Ndi Anambra proud.

Highlight of the meeting was the announcement of the sub-committees of the Campaign Council.

The Deputy Governor of Abia State, Sir Ude Okochukwu, Senate Minority leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe, Chairman of the Anambra State PDP Campaign Council, Senator Uche Ekwunife, Secretary of the National Campaign Council and former Minister of Aviation, Chief Osita Chidoka, former Minister of Environment and Member of the Board of Trustees of the PDP, Mrs Laurentia Mallam, Abia State Deputy Chairman of the PDP, Hon. Obinna Nwachukwu, were amongst other dignitaries that attended the meeting.
