How 4 Inmates Escape From Jos Correctional Centre At Early Hours Of Thursday

Four inmates have escaped from the Jos Maximum Correctional Centre under what an official described as questionable circumstances.

Our Reporter learnt on Thursday that the inmates escaped in the early hours of Thursday from the Jos main Correctional Centre without notice.

When contacted, the Plateau State spokesman of the Correctional Centre, Mr Geoffrey Longdien confirmed the news, adding that Centre has adequately informed its headquarters in Abuja on the “unexpected and shocked development”.

His word, “yes, four inmates of the Correctional Centre escaped at the early hours of Thursday at the centre”, stressing that “investigation is ongoing on the escape”.

“We’ll brief the press when they complete the investigation”, he further informed.
