Akobundu, Campaign Council, Pay Last Respect To Late Florence Iwuoha At Her Burial On Friday

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Abia Central Senatorial district in 2023 elections, Col. Austin Akobundu rtd was among the prominent dignitaries that paid their last respect to late Lay Preacher Florence Kasarachi Iwuoha, the wife of a former member of Abia House of Assembly in the third Republic and a member of Austin Akobundu Campaign Council, Chief Godfrey Iwuoha at her country home at Umuoleke Uratta in Oparaoha Autonomous Community, Isiala Ngwa North LGA of Abia State on Friday.

The Abia Central Senatorial hopeful was accompanied to the burial ceremony by members of the Austin Akobundu Campaign Council amongst them were: the Director General of the council, Pastor Emeka Inyama, former T.C chairman of Ikwuano LGA, Elder Henry Nwaoha, the President General of Ariam/Usaka Town Union, Chief B.C Mgbaramuko, Hon Ekeleme Ekije and many others.

However, in his funeral oration, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Rt Hon Christopher Enweremadu, described late Mrs Iwuoha as a dependable wife, caring mother and servant of God who spent her life serving God and humanity, pointing out that her secular job as a nurse gave her the opportunity to serve mankind with dedication and humility.

Similarly, the governorship candidate of PDP in Abia State for the 2023 elections, Prof Uchenna Ikonne, noted that late Mrs Iwuoha was a strong pillar, not only to her husband, but to the entire Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Council where she worked as a senior health worker before her untimely death.

In an open air service at the First African Church Mission, the Most Rev Dr Ebenezer Onwuaso, the Archbishop of Mid West Provence of the church, challenged Abians particularly politicians to ensure that God reigns supreme in their lives. The man of God stressed the need for Abia citizens to always work towards the development of the state which he described as the “God’s Own State” that God loves.

Notable among those present were: the PDP House of Representatives Candidate for Isiala Ngwa North/Isiala Ngwa South, Prof ACB Agbazuere, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Okey Ahiwe, former State House of Assembly members and some eminent personalities.

Born on March 26, 1967, late Lady Florence Kasarachi Iwuoha, before her death after a brief illness on May 12, 2022, was a renowned community leader. She is survived by eight children, aged mother and numerous relations.
