Aba Business Professionals has procured the Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for the PDP governorship aspirant for 2023 election, Prof. Greg Ibe, even as the group declared its full support for his ambition to become the next governor of Abia State in 2023.
The members of the group of Professionals restated their earnest desire to usher in a good leader to drive the vehicle of Abia State, during a press briefing with journalists at PDP Secretariat Abuja, Thursday, March 25.
This is coming as the renowned educationist and philanthropist who has shown commitment to providing Abians with notable enabling ground for education and other amenities, has overtime been consulting the stakeholders in his quest to become the next governor of Abia State.
Speaking on behalf of the group, Engr Arinze Nwokeji, pointed out that the frontline governorship aspirant has been of immense support to the group and has shown expands of goodwill, philanthropy, pedigree etc. hence their choice of him as the next governor of Abia State.
According to them “Prof. Greg Ikechukwu Ibe has been of immense support of this group in many ways too numerous to mention.
“His impact in the life of our group and the resultant progress in our businesses have ignited our passion for him as our choice of a governorship hopeful. He is someone who is humane and passionate about the growth of his friends, colleagues and comrades.”
Describing his responsive, philanthropic disposition as unrivaled, the group expressed optimisms in the governorship hopeful, saying “he’ll make a good governor”.
“He is a man of many exploits and this is the time for them to reciprocate his very many assistance.
“We the professionals are willing and ready to assist further and work for him and with him to mobilize valuable votes and realize his aspiration when the time comes”, they added.
At the event, Prof Ibe who is also “Enyi Abia” was dazed by their act of invaluable gestures for the forms purchase as well as their declarations.
The founder and Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu, Isuikwuato LGA of Abia State was amazed to receive Aba Professional Business men who contributed their hard earned money to purchase governorship forms for him.
He reaffirmed his enthusiasm to increase the fortunes of Abia State if he is given the opportunity to serve under the ruling party in the state.
He thanked the group for what he described as “this invaluable support”, as he prayed God Almighty to replenish their purse and increase their businesses in many folds.
Highlights of the event were a hand over ceremony of the forms and a grand reception of the delegation held in his country home at Uturu in Isuikwuato LGA.
Amongst the delegation who procured the nomination forms from the Secretariat of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Wadata Plaza Wuse Zone 5, Abuja were; The Chairman Isuikwuato PDP Stakeholders forum, His Excellency Navy Captain Chris Ibebuike Osondu (Retired), John Bosco, Prince Emeka Okafor; the DG Abia Crusaders Foundation, as well as some steering committee members of Abia Crusaders Foundation (ACF) namely: Barr F C Ibebuike, Secretary (ACF), and Hon Tom Ezikpe.
Others are: Hon Ibelachi C Ibelachi, Ho. Mrs Stella Nwaohanmuo, Comrade Christian Ofondu, Princely Kingsley Ngunu, and other members of Aba Professional Business Men, Members of Abia Crusaders Foundation (ACF), Members of Great Abia Project Movement (GAPM) and a host of other dignitaries.
