‘Prof Gregory Ibe Scholarship Award In Abia State Is Purely A Free Philanthropic Gesture’, Ogwo Warns

The Director of Communication & Strategy, Prof Gregory Ibe Foundation, Rev Sleek Ogbonnaya Ogwo, has clarified that the ongoing Prof Gregory Ibe scholarship award to deserving students in Abia State is purely a free philanthropic gesture by the Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu Prof Gregory Ibe.

In a statement he issued in Umuahia on Wednesday, Ogwo stated that candidates are not required to make any form of payment to qualify for the award “as there are no hidden charges”.

The statement reads in part: “This is to inform the public that the ongoing Prof Gregory Ibe scholarship award to deserving students in Abia state is purely a FREE philanthropic gesture by the Chancellor of Gregory University Uturu Prof Gregory Ibe.

“For the avoidance of doubt candidates are NOT required to make any form of payment to qualify for the award as there are no hidden charges. Sequel to the foregoing members of the public are thereby enjoined to report any person or persons demanding payment for enlistment into the scheme to the management of Gregory University Uturu. Please be properly guided”.

Uche Nwosu is a two time Shell Petroleum PLC award winner in the year 2000;
He won the Shell Award on Investigative Journalism and Environmental Cleanliness.
