Hurrah! How Oba Ewuare 11 Welcomes Quadruplets From 5th Wife, Pays Tributes To God Almighty, Benin Ancestors

The ancient traditional Palace of Benin Kingdom was thrown into a frenzy of jubilation when His Royal Majesty, Oba Ewuare 11 welcomed a set of Quadruplets from his fifth wife, Princess (Oloi) Esosa Ewuare 11 into the Benin Royal family.

It was jubilation all through yesterday, August 6, 2021 as the Palace rolled out its cultural dances and traditional troupes in celebration.

In May 2020, Oba Ewuare 11 welcomed his first infant Prince after he ascended the throne of his forebears as the 40th Oba of Benin from her Royal Highness, Princess (Oloi) Iyayota Ewuare 11.

The traditional ruler made the announcement at 4:57p.m at his palace on Friday in Benin City, amidst jubilation by the royal family members, Chiefs and guests who gathered at the palace to receive the good news.

Interestingly, the sexes of the babies who are yet to be named, comprises three infant Princes and a Princess.

The monarch paid tribute to God Almighty and the ancestors for the blessing.

The presiding Priest of the oldest West African Church, better known as Holy Aruosa Church, Ohen-Osa Igbinoghodua Edebiri, offered prayers to God for wisdom and guidance for the new born babies.

The brief ceremony coincided with the visit of national executives of Immaculate Conception College, ICC, Benin City to the palace in which Oba Ewuare 11 is an Alma-mater.

The group was led by its national president, Engr. John Osa Omoregie who thanked the Benin monarch for his support towards the development of the school and sued for more support.

Princess (Oloi) Aisosa Ewuare II is the youngest among the wives of the traditional ruler.
