Akobundu Inaugurates Youth Volunteer Network, Urges The Youth To Work Together For Realisation Of His Mandate

The PDP Candidate for Abia Central Senatorial District in next year’s general election, Col. Austin Akobundu rtd, in Tuesday inaugurated his youth volunteer network known as Col. Akobundu Youth Support Network (CAYSUN).
Drawn from the 6 local government areas of Abia Central Senatorial District as well as the Students’ body, the youth Volunteer Network will coordinate the youth and student groups working for the PDP Abia Central Senatorial hopeful.
Speaking while inaugurating the Youth Support Network at his Campaign Secretariat in Umuahia, Col Austin Akobundu rtd, assured them that they would work together to achieve their collective success, pointing out that he will give them every necessary support, enablement and empowerment to perform optimally.
According to him, if elected as Senator in 2023, he will provide the some visible dividends of democracy for Abia Central,  they being the major beneficiaries.
The Abia Central PDP Senatorial Candidate who is also a for Minister of Defence State, noted that as a Senator, he will be more stronger if he has a well empowered, equipped and focused youth body that is hopeful that tomorrow will provide a good opportunity to assume various leadership positions not only in Abia Central but Nigeria as a whole.
He therefore called for the partnership of the youths in the political development of the Nation.
“There is a paradigm shift. Leaders are going to be held accountable and I am going to offer myself to be held accountable if elected.  You have the right to question my policies, my legislative ability and what I stand for in the constituency as it affects you as individuals and groups”, Akobundu asserted.
Contributing, the Director General, Akobundu Campaign Council, Pastor Emeka Inyama and the State ALGON Chairman, Comrade Ike Anyatonwu expressed joy with the caliber of youths that make up the Austin Akobundu Youth Support Network, adding that the younger people will no longer be taken for granted in the electoral process.
They further stated that the PDP candidate has over the years been making and empowering others, explaining that it’s time to elect him to represent Abia Central at the National Assembly come 2023 general election.
Earlier in their speeches, the Leader of CAYSUN and the Deputy Chairman of Ikwuano LGA, Comrade Cokey Nwachukwu, the Zonal Coordinator of the Group and Special Adviser to the Governor on Innovation, Comrade Ikenna Benjamin Balogu and their BOT Chairman and Acting Chairman of Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Hon. Chimereze Joseph Nwankwo, explained that the membership of CAYSUN are drawn from the six Local Government Areas of Abia Central Senatorial Zone including the students Community.
They described Akobundu as most competent for the position while reiterating their commitment to tirelessly work to actualize his Senatorial ambition.
In their separate remarks, the CAYSUN LGA Coordinators including Hon. Anyim Tony Chiodo for Ikwuano, Hon. Anthony Nwachukwu for Umuahia South, Hon. Michael Ochiegbu for Osisioma Ngwa, Hon. Ugochukwu Anyanwu for Isiala Ngwa North, Hon. Emmanuel Frank Uzuka for Isiala Ngwa South, Hon. Chidiebere Nmesirionye for Umuahia North and Comrade Prince Uwaekwe from the Student Community, expressed their readiness to work for actualizing Akobundu’s Senatorial ambition and sought for his support to ensure the success of their mandate.
